This is a series of Kanazawa gold leaf called "Ancient Gold Leaf," where each piece has a unique shine.Using a special manufacturing method, we developed Kanazawa gold leaf with a beautiful, unique gradation, and this series has remained popular since our founding.

What is Kodai Haku?

Kodai Haku is an original Kanazawa foil from "Haku Ichi." It's a Kanazawa foil that has been transformed by a special manufacturing process, changing the world of foil from one that only featured the natural color of the metal (gold, silver, etc.). It features a gradient finish where the gold color changes from the center outwards. Due to this special processing, only a small portion of the foil is usable, making it more expensive and rarer than genuine gold foil. Because each piece is handcrafted by artisans, the hue varies slightly, with some pieces having a bluish tint and others a reddish tint.
