ABOUT SHOKI KYOTO JAPAN In Japan, there was a custom in Kyoto in the late Edo period (1603-1867) to place Shoki on roofs to ward off misfortune and evil. Later, this custom spread not only to the Kansai region but also to the Chubu region.
Zhong Kui originated from the Tang Dynasty in China. Zhong Kui originated from the Tang Dynasty in China. Legend has it that Mr. Zhong Kui appeared in the dream of the ailing Emperor Xuanzong and defeated a demon who tried to steal Concubine Yang's treasure.
Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty once painted a portrait of Zhong Kui, and it was said that Zhong Kui could ward off evil spirits.
Zhong Kui is a god in ancient Chinese mythology who specializes in exorcising evil spirits and fending off plagues. In Japan, it is not only used to ward off epidemics, but also to ward off evil spirits.
In this exhibition, you can appreciate and purchase Zhongkui and Other Arts works produce by Japanese ceramic artist Naoko Mitsumoto.

Born in Kyoto prefecture, and studied ceramic art in college.
Sep. 2023, took her post of Kyoto Shokiva Co. Ltd.
Mar. 2024 being certified"京もの認定工芸士”
which is a title given
by Kyoto prefecture for young artist working for traditional industries.
Handling shoki doll which is a traditional guardian doll in Japan.
Mainly produces and sells Zhongkui and other colored glazed ceramics and accessories.

關於京都鍾馗屋
在日本,江戶時代末期(1603-1867)京都人有在屋頂上放置鍾馗以辟邪的風俗。後來,這種習俗不僅傳到了關西地區,也傳到了中部地區。
鍾馗起源於中国唐朝。鍾馗起源於中國唐朝。傳說鐘馗先生出現在生病的玄宗皇帝的夢中,並擊敗了試圖竊取楊貴妃寶藏的惡魔。
唐玄宗曾畫鐘馗像,流傳鐘馗能辟邪。
鍾馗為中國古代神話中嘅神袛,專門鎮宅驅魔,抵禦瘟疫。在日本,它不只用來闢疫,還可以用來避邪。
在這次展覽裡,可以欣賞以及購買日本陶藝藝術家光本直子的鍾馗以及其他作品。

出生於京都府,在大學學習陶瓷藝術。
2023年9月,就任京都Shokiya株式會社。
2024年3月取得“京もの認定工芸士”
由京都府頒發給在傳統產業工作的年輕藝術家。
製作日本京都傳統的守護像-鍾馗。
主要生產及銷售鍾馗以及其他彩釉陶瓷品及配件。
